We’re Lauren and Steve — the pair behind Batch MFG.
Our story starts with fabric. Lauren grew up in a family deeply rooted in Australian manufacturing, supplying locally made textiles to some of the country’s biggest brands and developing highly technical fabrics for the Australian Defence Force. From developing dye formulas and fabric finishes to refining knitting techniques, she built a technical foundation that shaped her belief in doing things properly — with care, precision, and pride.
Steve came from the retail side, helping build and grow some of Australia’s most recognised brands. Years in product and merchandising taught him what drives customers, how product tells a story, and what it takes to scale something with meaning.
We built Batch MFG to bring those worlds together — where heritage craftsmanship meets modern manufacturing. A place that makes creating locally feel premium again. Built on transparency, purpose, and pride, we’re here to prove that Australian manufacturing isn’t just viable — it’s world-class.
